Walker College Announces New Development Team
Walker College of Business Dean Dr. Randy Edwards is pleased to announce the appointment of Geoff Graham and Geraldine "Gerry" Smith to the college Development Staff.
GEOFF GRAHAM
Geoff Graham has been named director of development at the Walker College of Business. Graham recently served as associate director of planned giving at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to his time in Chapel Hill, Graham was a member of Appalachian’s development team, serving in various capacities, including associate vice chancellor for gift planning.
Graham is a graduate of Appalachian; he received his master of arts in sociology before earning a juris doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law. Graham is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the National Committee on Planned Giving, and is a member and past president of the North Carolina Planned Giving Council. GERALDINE "GERRY" SMITH
Geraldine "Gerry" Smith joins the Walker College of Business as an advancement specialist. Smith has recently retired from a 30-year career as first vice-president and financial advisor with Smith Barney in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She is a certified financial planner and has volunteered with a number of civic organizations in Charlotte. Smith has served on the college’s Business Advisory Council since 2006.
