Our priority in the Walker College of Business is to offer a high-quality MBA Program designed to assist students develop professional skills that are valued in today’s business world. The MBA educational experience includes:

Prerequisites for Entry
The 32-hour MBA core curriculum presumes an undergraduate degree in business administration. Students who hold a different degree can prepare themselves for the program by taking the following undergraduate courses or their equivalents:
MAT 1030 — Calculus with Business Applications
ACC 1100 — Principles of Accounting I
ECO 2030 — Price Theory
ECO 2040 — Macroeconomics
ECO 2100 — Business & Economic Statistics I
LAW 2150 — Legal Environment of Business
CIS 3050 — Fundamentals of Management Information Systems
FIN 3680 — Introduction to Finance
MKT 3050 — Principles of Marketing
MGT 3630 — Introduction to Organizational Behavior
These courses can be taken at Appalachian or at any accredited institution. Also, students may have taken some of these courses as part of their undergraduate degree.
