    Angel K. Wood serves as Assistant Director of the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center. In this position, she designs student support programs and coordinates industry-involvement activities for Risk and Insurance majors.

    Her additional responsibilities include coordinating scholarship, internship, and employment opportunities for students, developing program marketing campaigns and promotional materials, and serving as an industry liaison. She also serves as an advisor to the Risk and Insurance Student Club.

    Angel received her BS degree in Communications and her MA in Student Development from Appalachian State University. Before joining the staff of the Center, she served in various capacities including working as counselor/recruiter at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and as program coordinator of the National College Access Partnership at UNC General Administration. She has also worked as Program Coordinator of College Awareness Programs at Appalachian State and as Assistant Director in the Office of Admissions.
