Dr. Jeffrey Hobbs received his doctorate from Virginia Tech in 2007. He has experience teaching classes on investments, principles of finance, international finance, interest rates and debt markets, case studies, and computer-based financial analysis. He will be teaching a course in derivatives starting in the Fall of 2007. His research interests are primarily concentrated in the area of corporate finance and include dividend policy, market efficiency, and agency theory.
