Don
R. Cox curently serves as associate dean in the Walker College of Business. He has taught
courses in investments, financial management, and international
finance. He was the recipient of the Outstanding
Teaching Award for the Walker College of Business at Appalachian
State in 2000.
Don's research interests are primarily in
the areas of stock market efficiency and corporate finance, and he has published
research in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of
Investing, and other scholarly journals. |
Dr.
Cox has taught financial management executive education seminars
and has served as a financial consultant to several companies
and organizations. Dr. Cox earned undergraduate and graduate
degrees in business from Georgia Southern University and Georgia
State University, respectively. Prior to pursuing a career
in academia, Don worked for approximately ten years with W.R.
Grace; holding positions in financial analysis & planning,
financial management, and project management. He received a
Ph.D. in Finance from Florida State University and has been
at Appalachian State since 1993. |
