      Rod Baker is a Lecturer of Finance and the Finance & Banking Career Services Coordinator in the Department of Finance, Banking, and Insurance at Appalachian State University. He teaches undergraduate Introductory Finance and Career Development courses. In addition, he assists students with their career search, whether it's an internship or a full-time position.

    Rod's previous experience includes International Banking at First Union National Bank where he managed a team of currency traders. He also worked at Salomon Smith Barney in their Institutional Asset Management Department where he constructed investment portfolios for large corporations.

    Rod received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Elon College and a Master of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
