Boone and the surrounding area offers many entertainment alternatives.  The area is fortunate to have excellent restaurants and shopping due to the relatively large numbers of tourists and second (and third) homeowners.  People have been drawn to the area's natural beauty for over 100 years.  In addition to the natural beauty, the area offers whitewater rafting, kayaking, scenic drives, ample hiking, arts & cultural activities, music, and even snow skiing (though not in April).  We hope you will have time to explore the area.
