Walker College of Business Department of CIS

The Department of Computer Information Systems offers coursework in information systems, production/operations management, and quantitative methods. Students in information technology and operations management are encouraged to acquire a broad liberal education in order to understand the interface between the technical and management aspects of business.

A computer information systems major develops professional skills and capabilities to enable students to pursue careers in computerized information systems areas in either the public or private sectors of our economy. Computer information systems students will be able to pursue careers as: systems managers, systems architects, systems developers, program analysts, systems analysts, database administrators, network administrators, and web site developers. Courses are also offered in production/operations management.
