Dr. Alanah Mitchell is an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems in the John A. Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. Her Ph.D. is from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Professor Mitchell’s research focuses on collaboration through the use of technology and best practices for managing and using collaboration technologies in virtual and face-to-face teams. She has published in such journals as Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, and American Journal of Business as well as others.
