Michael B. Knight is an assistant professor in the department of Computer Information Systems in the Walker College of Business. Before joining ASU, Michael was an instructor of Management and Information Systems at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he specialized in teaching large classes. Previous to teaching at SIUC, he held positions as a police officer and a national operations director. He currently holds a commercial pilot license and a flight instructor II certificate.
His current research interests include group dynamics and strategic IT adoption, end-user education & training, the use of IT for organizational/group communication, and qualitative managerial consulting. His work has been presented at conferences such as IRMA, AOM, AMCIS, and DSI; and can be found in the Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. He has also received awards for teacher of the year 2004-2005 and has been listed in the Who’s Who of American Teachers twice (2003 & 2004).
Michael is currently serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and for the IRMA, AMCIS, DSI and HICSS conferences.
