Albert L. Harris, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems in the Walker College of Business. He is currently Editor of the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE).
Dr. Harris received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Georgia State University, his Master's degree in Systems Management from George Washington University, and his B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from Indiana University.
He had more than 15 years of information systems consulting experience before joining the academic ranks. He teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate CIS courses.
He has published articles in the Journal of Information Systems Education, Information & Management, International Journal of Management, Journal Computer Information Systems, Journal of Management Counseling, the Review of Accounting Information Systems, International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology, Journal of Computer and Mathematics Education, and in more than 25 international, national and regional conference proceedings. He served as Acting Chair of the CIS Department from 1998-2001, Treasurer of EDSIG, The Education Special Interest Group of AITP, from 1998-2001, Secretary of SEDSI (1999-2000), MIS Track Chair of SEDSI twice, and reviewer, paper presenter, session chair and/or discussant at AMCIS, DSI, ISECON, SEDSI and SEInforms.
