For students in the process of seeking a position, emails are sent out on a regular basis, and copies of the position descriptions are are posted on the bulletin board in the hallway by the Brantley Center. If you are not currently receiving any emails of this type, please contact Angel Wood to be added to the listserv (wooda@appstate.edu).

There are many career options for students who are preparing to graduate with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance. Some potential careers in the field are: agents, brokers, claims adjusters, financial planners, loss control, actuaries, risk managers and underwriters.

For employers, there are several options for listing job and internship opportunities. If you would specifically like to target our current students, please contact Angel Wood (wooda@appstate.edu) with detailed position information. She manages a listserv of current students and is able to send out job/internship opportunities via email.

If you are seeking alumni with some experience for your job opening, The Director of Career Services in the College of Business has an alumni listserv for this purpose. Please contact Heidi Williams at williamsha@appstate.edu.

You may also wish to sign up for the Career Gear service through our Career Development Center. Both current students and alumni are able to view job postings through this system.
