The WSJ reported on a huge trading scandal Thursday, and included a photo of FBI agent Diane Wehner (left) escorting a suspect from FBI headquarters.

It is being described as an invesigation involving “one of the highest-ranking executives to be embroiled in an insider-trading scandal since Wall Street was rocked by such schemes in the 1980s.” And a Walker College graduate is at the center of proving it.

Diane Wehner ‘00 ACC is a special agent with the FBI. She signed the affidavit against Robert W. Moffat Jr., a longtime officer with IBM who, along with five others, is accused of securities fraud and conspiracy involving insider trading.

Thursday, the front page of Wall Street Journal “Money and Investing” section featured a photo of Wehner escorting one of the accused, along with an update on the case.

The New York Times reported last Friday on the arrests and further describes the scope of the investigation.

Even now, after the discovery of Bernard L. Madoff, the scheme outlined by law enforcement officials is the stuff of Wall Street thrillers, not seen since the days of Ivan Boesky two decades ago.
