Each year approximately 200 alumni and other professionals attend the annual Appalachian Accounting Alumni CPE Conference. Its objective is to provide a forum for accounting professionals to examine, explore, and discuss issues of interest and concern to those in the accounting profession.

Attendees earn up to eight hours of CPE credit. The conference is free to Appalachian State University Department of Accounting alumni, while other professionals are invited to attend for a small fee.
The 2009 conference will be held Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone. Among the announced topics are -
